Overloading Core
I love the concept of overloading my core, I just think it should do some aoe damage around it considering its like turning your ship into a bomb...
If I lose I will ensure nobody can win and it seems that at the heart of a battlecruiser is a huge ass bomb you can overload, so if my ship was burning and about to die I'd crash into them and set that fucker off.
Nobody really wins in war.

Re: Overloading Core
I said this in channel and I'll repeat the sentiment here.
Encouraging self-destruct should be something we think of very carefully.
I could see implementing some sort of AoE damage on BC death, but overloading the core to the point of self-destruct has and should continue to penalize rep. harshly. I'm not sure if you remember the days of frequent, repeatable griefers - but I'd like to not ever return there.

I'd rather not encourage griefing, and would it matter? Losing the BC after you win is still winning.

Re: Overloading Core
I agree with what has already been said. I feel like it would encourage griefing too much.
