Repair Remake

The current repair upgrade is kinda weird... you buy an upgrade to repair the ship?
Proposed sollution: Buy repair drones that latch out on the outside ( limited max number of drones - 5 maybe? ) of the BC and give regeneration / second in exchange for some energy , if the shields fail the drones can be attacked and destroyed

edit: combined with directional shields like others suggested could add an important role for small ship during the end battle ( small ships could snipe out repair drones attached to the back of the bc )

That's a quite good idea. ;D

For me the most interesting option would be having the drones inside or outside:

Inside-protected by armour, lower heal speeds, can destroy debris but in the same time crouding the deck sometimes blocking the way.

Outside-high repair speed, can be destroyed. You can see their status on the screen but they are completely controlled by scripts not even real units. Can't be selected on map.
