A Predator Missile Beacon only works ~20% of the time. This is caused by the copious number of turrets on the enemy BC. When a Beacon does work, it is rarely in an inaccessible area, and the defending crew cannot destroy it.

Beacons should need to be hunted down and destroyed. Please keep the turrets from targeting them, and keep them from spawning in inaccessible areas.

The inaccessible area I have seen a beacon, is an elevator, shrouded in darkness.

I'll make the tracking beacons untargetable by turrets, however I'm not sure about the inaccessible areas. Can you send me a replay of it so I can find out which area it is?

Sorry for not following proper bug reporting procedure. I will do so in the future, or with more complicated "bugs." If you require a replay of this bug, the CCA Challenge game Tempest just posted, displays turrets destroying beacons twice. The first time ~29:40, I believe.

I do not have a replay of the inaccessible elevator.

I can describe the area.

I was on BC 1.
BC 2 fired a predator at us.
The beacon was found in an elevator in the upper left of the interior BC mini-map.
The beacon was at 5% health.

This area is not an area players can natively see.

In the upper left of what BC mini-map? Bottom floor or top floor? Are you completely sure you were on BC 1 and not BC 2?

... ok, I might be mis-remembering, but this is what I remember.

I was on BC 1. The upper-left of the entire BC interior mini map.
This would be just above Missile Tube 1, on BC 1.

BC 1's top right elevator is just above BC 2's missile tube 1. There's no elevator above BC 1's missile tube. I'll just assume you were on BC 2. I think I know the problem. Thanks for reporting it Smile

Auto-Turrets no longer target tracking beacons and they shouldn't spawn at inaccessible locations. If it does spawn in some weird place, tell me and get me a replay or a screenshot of it.

This will be in the next patch.

Thank you for your fast response time on this, and the small ship core issue. Both of these where irritations during complex play.
